In the previous session, we have seen how a healthy morning should be. We discussed about how a day starts, and what should we do accordingly. Though afternoon is just for a while, hardly around 2 to 4 hours, is the important of life that plays a major role. A lot of time, energy and resource are spent to fulfill the very little stomach of human.
Food is a most essential part of everyone’s life including animals. Sometimes, we use to say, eat when you are hungry. Some what this looks quiet okay. But, when it comes to the actual play, the body has specific time for each organ to function. That doesn’t mean, in the remaining time it’s not going to function. Particularly at a defined time each organ shows its full functionality. Only because of that, it runs properly.
Just imagine, if all the organs show their full functionality at the same time. Obviously, it will be difficult for the body to show its feel and finally it collapses.
Here, the best time to have lunch is between 12 noon to 2pm. It’s the time when the stomach calls you for food. Taking a good amount of food with all essential nutrients is always recommended.

Kids:
Kids generally have their appetites faster. Often they need to be given with something to eat. To them, a healthier meal is very much essential and all kinds of nutrients should be included. So, boiled rice with some vegetables must be their daily meal and along with that, they can have a mere amount of meat and egg.
Children:
Children often tend to play every time, so they must take all kinds of essential nutrients. They should consume a good amount of boiled vegetables, rice and eggs on alternative days. They can any meat once in a week. An hour after their lunch, they must take any fruit juice. This kind of meal makes them to grow stronger.
Teenagers:
Teenagers are matured physically and mentally. It is when they have hormonal changes and grows physically. The level of appetite is quiet higher at this age. So, they need to take a good amount of food with vegetables, meat and egg. Since they engage in many activities, they can consume any healthy foods.
It’s the time where they are very much concerned about their physic and beauty. And show special importance to groom them. This period is very crucial because, taste plays a very important role in their food habits. To have a tasty meal, they shouldn’t get addicted to junk and fast foods. Instead they can consume any healthy meals that are traditionally made.
Adult:
The adulthood is when they get fully matured. Here they have preference and priority, whereas in teenage they will be confined within a circle. So, now they have a better option and space to decide what they need. This adulthood is when they start to work physically and mentally to have earnings, and it is when they face problems with organisation or people.
This adulthood is much more important because, the food they consume decides their behavior and it’s the base to a healthy life at their 40’s.
Their meal should be more vegetarian and to the least priority, they can have non-veg. Good amount of fruits and nuts should be consumed on a regular basis. Definitely after the lunch, they must take any fruit juice, preferably citrus fruits. They can have huge load of work, but, they should spend the right time to have lunch. At this age spending right time is more valuable than just spending any time.
Elderly people:
The elderly age is very much concerned about the health. Their each meal and food adds up their further health. It’s also quiet crucial, but they have much time to focus more on food and health. They should avoid taking non-veg; instead they should consume more of veg, especially vegetables, fruits and spices. This will take them to the long run in health. They can limit their intake of food. Even if they take very mere amount, it should contain all the essential nutrients.
With various work scenarios:
Home maker:
A home maker is the one who makes all the lunches to the entire family. It is also important, when and what she eats. Home maker takes the responsibility for cooking healthy food. So, she too has to take lunch along with family. In some homes, home maker waits, until the entire family finishes their lunch and after finishing all her work, she takes the lunch.
In one aspect, this can be okay, but when it comes to health, she too should take her lunch along with the family.
A normal work going men/women:
A normal work going men/women have their lunch around 12 noon to 1 pm. usually they take their lunch along with them. In such case, there are some, who feels shy to carry too many number of tiffin boxes with them. We advise them not to feel shy; instead they educate others about the importance of having a healthy meal.
A work going men/women should take right amount of food. Why, because, a heavy meal can make them sleep and being little emptied stomach will make them feel hungry again. Both these habits will interrupt their mind and work.
So, taking a right amount of meal is always good for working men/women. They should also ensure about taking vegetables every day.
Bachelor men/women:
Bachelor men/women will be either working or seeking for a job. Here, they won’t have anyone to cook for them. Those bachelors who know to cook can manage themselves, but, some bachelors tend to take hotel foods. Once in a while this is okay, but not on daily basis.
So, these bachelor men/women can have half boiled vegetables or even raw vegetables too. Why because, definitely a bachelor men/ women will be at an age of around 20 to 25. Since they wouldn’t be sitting often for lunch, it is better for them to take little raw vegetables and some half boiled vegetables too. If they prefer to have non-veg, it’s well and good to take little.
Working men/women with busy schedule:
Apart from a normal work going men/women, there are some profession, which hardly gives good time for lunch. Men/women in those categories won’t have much time to have a relaxed lunch. So, they can always have some sliced cucumber, carrot, beetroot, fruits, dry fruits and nuts with them. If they find their schedule is going to be busy, they can have these foods as meal.
Staying always at home:
There can be any valid reason for those who stay always at home. So, they don’t have to think as, they are just simply whiling away the time. Here, they spend most of their time at home, so it is advised them to take right amount of food, only if they find hungry.
Because, some just grinds their mouth with some junk food rather than a healthy one. This will make them gain weight sooner and can lead to obesity. Even if they take a good meal, let it be full of vegetables and nuts. So that, they won’t put much weight over time.
On the whole, to have a healthy life style, increase the intake of veg than non-veg.
